Helping People In Need
Our team at SCA is happy to lend a helping hand by supporting these worthy causes
Founded in 1979, ACFB procures over 45 million pounds of food and groceries each year and distributes it to more than 600 nonprofit partner agencies serving families and individuals in 29 metro Atlanta and north Georgia counties.
We exist simply because people in our community struggle with meeting a basic human need—having enough to eat.
Founded in 1982, Golden Harvest Food Bank works to create a safety net of partner agencies, programs, and direct services to meet the needs of our neighbors who struggle with hunger across our 24-county service area. With a network of over 350 partner agencies and programs, we can get nutritious meals directly into the hands of those in need through agencies embedded in their communities.
We believe that everyone in our community should have enough nutritious food to live a happy, healthy life. We strive to increase access to healthy food and foster long-term stability for neighbors in need with the help of our donors, partners, and volunteers.
Group homes, emergency shelters, and transitional living centers provide housing, food, and overnight lodging for varying amounts of time to those in need.
An independent non-profit agency, Crisis Assistance Ministry is Mecklenburg County’s leading agency providing the working poor with emergency rent and utility assistance, clothing, household goods and furniture.
Apartment Association Outreach was founded in 1991 by a local apartment association, the Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky Apartment Association (GCNKAA). This group wanted to make a difference in their community while elevating the apartment industry. Throughout the next decade, Outreach evolved into a strong organization that answered the needs of individuals in times of crisis, served the poor and elderly, and provided basic needs.
St. Jude is unlike any other pediatric treatment and research facility. Discoveries made here have completely changed how the world treats children with cancer and other catastrophic diseases. The objectives of Toys for Tots are to help less fortunate children throughout the United States experience the joy of Christmas; to play an active role in the development of one of our nation’s most valuable resources – our children; to unite all members of local communities in a common cause for three months each year during the annual toy collection and distribution campaign; and to contribute to better communities in the future.
